Officers are appealing for information, witnesses and dash cam footage after a woman was allegedly pushed out of a moving car on the A1M.

Police received a call from the ambulance service at 2.25pm on Thursday 6 June for assistance on the southbound carriageway between junctions 10 and 9 (Baldock and Letchworth).

It was reported that a blue Vauxhall Corsa had been driving along the hard shoulder when a woman was pushed out.

She was taken to hospital with multiple injuries and discharged a few days later.

Detective Constable Tom Eldred, who is investigating, said: "We attended the scene and arrested a man from Stevenage, aged in his thirties, on suspicion of assault (GBH). He has been bailed with conditions while our enquiries continue.

"I am appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch. Were you traveling along the A1M in the Baldock and Letchworth area between 2pm and 2.30pm on Thursday 6 June? Did you see the incident or the events leading up to it? Please get in touch if you can help.

"I would also like anyone who was traveling in the area with a dash cam, to please check it and make contact if you spot the blue Vauxhall Corsa on there.

"You can email me at [email protected] quoting crime reference 41/45413/24."
