Woman left with 'life threatening injuries' following serious collision on A1M

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman in her 30s was left with life threatening injuries following a collision on the A1M.

It is reported that at around 7.20pm on Thursday 1 August, there was a collision between a pedestrian and a moving heavy goods vehicle near to junction 9 of the A1M southbound carriageway.

Officers attended along with colleagues from the East of England Ambulance Service, and a woman in her 30s was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries.

Officers in the Bedfordshire Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Roads Policing Unit (BCH RPU) are appealing for information.

Sergeant Tim Davies from BCH RPU said: "I am appealing to anyone who was driving along the A1M between 7.15pm and 7.25pm on Thursday 1 August.

"If you witnessed the collision occur or have any dashcam footage that may support our investigation, no matter how significant you think it might be, please contact me.

"Additionally, I am interested in anyone who witnessed a white female wearing a yellow/orange dress around the Corey's Mill/Junction 8 roundabout."
