LETCHWORTH: Staff shortages continue to force closures among businesses and entertainment venues in our area.

As cases of the Omicron variant continue to rage, a prominent Letchworth site has been forced to shut its doors, joining retailers and hospitality firms, with no end in sight.

Broadway Cinema on Eastcheap in Letchworth town centre issued a notice advising of their closure.

Posting on their official Twitter account they wrote: "Sadly, due to many of our staff having to self-isolate Broadway, we are temporarily closed.

"We apologise for the inconvenience and hope to be back open as soon as possible."

If you have a ticket for a film during this period, the cinema advises that they will be in touch to arrange a refund.
