Here are the biggest local planning stories from the past few weeks.
HMO to Home
An existing HMO in Letchworth could be turned into a children's home for up to four children, if plans are signed off by North Herts Council.
Lyncroft Developments Ltd has applied for permission to convert the terraced house on Sparhawke into the facility.
If approved, the scheme will not see any material changes to the building which needs "no adaption to facilitate the proposed use".
Housing Plans
Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation is "pleased to announce a key milestone" in its development of up to 900 new homes, a local centre, and a school to the north of Letchworth.
Following a consultation with residents, businesses, councils and organisations; the strategic masterplan framework was presented to cabinet at North Herts Council on Tuesday 9 July.
The report asked cabinet to "positively recommend the approval of the strategic masterplan framework for the land to the north of Letchworth Garden City to full council".
Controversial 42 Houses
Controversial plans for 42 new homes on former school playing fields in Letchworth have been given the green light.
Landowner Hertfordshire County Council has been given the green light for the scheme on the former Norton School Playing Fields site.
The local authority recently had an appeal dismissed for a similar development, after North Herts Council had refused a previous planning application.
