Stevenage drew 0-0 with Leyton Orient at Broadhall Way on Saturday afternoon.
Boro boss Alex Revell was booked for dissent midway through the second half by referee James Bell, after a heated discussion with fourth official Andrew Aylott.
The home side's best chance fell to Elliot List four minutes before half time.
Luke Norris' header teed up List, who effort was well saved by O's keeper Lawrence Vigouroux in front of a Lamex crowd of 3,544, which included 1,385 away fans.
List drilled the ball narrowly wide moments after the interval before his powerful effort was saved by Vigouroux as the goal desperately sought did not materialise.
Kenny Jackett's side's best effort came when Harry Smith drove towards goal, before debutant Adam Smith - in for loanee Joseph Anang - denied Orient's No9 with his feet.
The result saw Orient move up to ninth place in the League Two table, while Boro remain in 20th spot, three points off the relegation zone.
