Letchworth: McColl's on Station Road is no more after its change to Morrisons Daily
McColl's one-stop store on 73 Station Road is no more, after McColl's new owner Morrisons refitted the shop to represent new management.
The move came after national retailer Morrisons bought a number of struggling McColl's sites out of administration last year, with work starting on the new business earlier this month as Letchworth Nub News reported last week.

Nub News paid a visit to the new Morrisons Daily on the day it opened, Friday (January 19) to take a look round.
Thankfully the store still appears to have its friendly, diligent, friendly hard-working staff despite McColl's new owner Morrisons starting work integrating the convenience chain into its own portfolio.
And, as far as we could see, residents will continue to have a Post Office where people can send parcels, make payments including utility bills and purchase travel money - as well as offer a National Lottery terminal.
However, visitors to the site over the weekend may have been surprised to note the space for the Post Office provision has been reduced.
McColl's said in a message to Letchworth customers: "We're giving your store a fresh look [and] re-opening with great Morrisons value ."
Let us know what you think of the new Morrison's Daily - as well as the reduced provision for the Post Office.
