LEAGUE TWO: Stevenage fell to a 3-0 defeat at Oldham on Saturday.
Davis Keillor-Dunn grabbed a pair in the opening 45 minutes as the Latics proved too strong for Boro.
The victory saw Keith Curle's side elevate themselves out of the relegation trapdoor as they sealed their first home win of the league season after Keillor-Dunn's early double with Dylan Bahamboula chipping in for the third.
Stevenage striker Jamie Reid's shot hit the post but Alex Revell's side had been second best in the opening 45 minutes.
Elliott List and substitute Luke Norris saw headers well saved by Latics goalkeeper Jayson Leutwiler but it was too little,, too late for Boro who now sit in 20th place, three points off the relegation zone.
Stevenage travel to Northampton in midweek before they host Leyton Orient at the Lamex on Saturday.
